While the Texas-based chain is known for having the largest gas stations in the world, Buc-ee’s is much more than just a gas station and a visit to Buc-ee’s is an experience all on its own! So what makes it so special aside from its massive size? Well… unmatched convenience, impeccable cleanliness, fun and quirky atmosphere, unique souvenirs and gifts, and we can't forget the food! People have come to know and love the Buc-ee’s brand for its one-of-a-kind edible offerings, and we’re here to share with you the top 10 Must-Try Foods on your next visit to Buc-ee’s!

Also, watch our Buc-ee’s Vlog for a closer look at our visit where we tried almost all of the items we talk about in this blog!

1. Beaver Nuggets:

These are one of Buc-ee's most famous treats. They are sweet and crunchy caramel-coated corn puffs, similar to caramel popcorn, and no visit to Buc-ee’s is complete without getting a taste of this classic Buc-ee’s flavor!

2. Buc-ee's Nugg-ees:

Similar to Beaver Nuggets but with a savory twist, these crunchy corn nuggets come in various flavors like Bold and Spicy (my favorite), White Cheddar (Natalie's favorite), and White Cheddar Habanero. Think Cheetos Puffs but better!

3. Jerky:

Buc-ee's is known for offering high-quality jerky in a wide selection of flavors including the crowd favorites Bohemian Garlic, Cherry Maple, Peppered Turkey, Steakhouse, Sweet and Spicy, and Teriyaki. But no matter the flavor, Buc-ee’s jerky is smoked and cured to perfection giving it the perfect jerky texture.

4. Brisket Sandwich:

Quite possibly the most famous Buc-ee's food item is the Smoked Brisket Sandwich. They offer it with chopped or sliced brisket, but if you’re more of a barbeque purist, I would recommend the sliced brisket. It’s more about the meat and less saucy. If you want a healthy dose of their tangy barbeque sauce, go with the chopped. But honestly, both are delicious!

5. Kolaches:

Kolaches are a popular Czech pastry that has become a staple in Texas as well. Buc-ee's kolaches are soft, pillowy dough filled with a variety of sweet or savory fillings. Some popular choices include sausage and cheese, ham and cheese, or fruit-filled options, but our favorite is the Sausage Cheese Jalapeño Kolache.

6. Fried Chicken Sandwich:

A southern classic, the Buc-ee's fried chicken sandwich features a juicy, crispy breaded, and deep-fried chicken breast served on a soft bun with a tangy specialty sauce. Mm-mmmm… Delicious!

7. Candied Nuts:

Whether it’s Pecans, Almonds, or Cashews, Buc-ee's roasts all of its roasted/candied nuts in-house which attributes to the deliciously sweet aroma that hits you the second you walk into a Buc-ee’s. And while all of the roasted nuts are delicious, the Pecans are our favorite.

8. Fudge:

Buc-ee's boasts an assortment of over 20 rich and creamy fudge flavors. From classics like Chocolate, Mint Chocolate, Chocolate Pecan, Peanut Butter, and Salted Caramel to the more creative and seasonal flavors like Birthday Cake, Blueberry Cobbler, Blueberry Cheesecake, Red Velvet, M&M, Watermelon, Nilla Wafer, Maple Pecan, and more, there's something to satisfy every sweet tooth. For what it’s worth, Peanut Butter is a top seller!

9. Dessert Cups:

Buc-ee's dessert cups come in a variety of flavors including classic options like chocolate and vanilla to more modern flavors like cookies and cream or salted caramel. A crowd favorite is the Banana Pudding, and at Buc-ee’s it is authentic and scratch-made daily with real chunks of banana, whipped cream, and vanilla wafers. My (Matt's) personal favorite is the Coconut Cream! SO good!

10. Cake Balls:

Made by combining moist cake crumbs with a creamy frosting, which is then rolled into small balls and coated in a smooth chocolate or candy shell, Buc-ee's cake balls come in various flavors, including chocolate, vanilla, red velvet, and seasonal options. We tried a sample pack of 3 that came with Double Chocolate, Red Velvet, and Italian Cream. All were delicious, but the Italian Cream and Red Velvet were our favorites.

Honorable Mentions:

Sizzlin’ Saltines (currently discontinued): These saltines are a delicious twist on the classic cracker, known for their irresistibly spicy flavor. Each cracker is seasoned with a savory blend of spices that adds a kick of heat to your taste buds. We’ve heard that they are currently discontinued, but hopefully, it’s just temporary!

Yogurt Pretzels (currently discontinued): Offered in multiple fruity flavors like Raspberry, Strawberry, and Blueberry, this sweet and salty snack is quite addictive, and we can only hope that Buc-ee’s brings these back!

Please note that availability may vary at different Buc-ee's locations, and the menu items can change over time. It's always a good idea to check their current offerings when visiting.
